The Certificate in Integrated Humanities is a cross-disciplinary humanities experience that offers an intentional through-line among humanities-based courses in the core curriculum where students can connect the skills used for humanities-based inquiry to their personal, academic, and professional goals.

The Certificate in Integrated Humanities consists of 12 SCH as follows:
From Communication - Core 10 (3 hours)
Additional Core Courses (6 hours)
Choose two additional core courses from the following: From Language, Philosophy and Culture - Core 40
From Creative Arts - Core 50
From Component Area Option - Core 90
Advanced Humanities Course (3 hours)
Choose any 3000- or 4000-level humanities course from the following disciplines: - ARTS
- DANC
- ENGL
- HIST
- HUMA
- MUSI
- MUMI
- SPAN
- PHIL
- THRE
Note:
The Certificate in Integrated Humanities program will be administered through the Department of English, Philosophy and Modern Languages. It will be supervised by a Certificate committee, who will determine the courses to be included as certificate-approved courses and assess program outcomes. |
